Simworks Burrito Rack (Silver)

The Sim Works Burrito rack is for carrying Enchiladas, churro bundles, Flautas, or other round foods of similar ilk.  It also works great with a Fifth Season Cache Sack and two Fifth Season Lockdown Straps.  It’s a more stable solution than a bike packing saddle bag, and honestly, looks nicer too.  Basically it’s a Nitto R-10, but with a concave center, so it cradles a stuff sack nicely.  It’s also 10% cuter.  I recently used one on a two day bike packing trip with a mix of road, fire roads, single track and large quantities of margaritas, and it worked great.  Zero fuss.  I kept heavy pokey things in it, like my cook gear, in a Cache sack.  

Nitto makes this rack for Sim Works.  Nitto makes everything Nitto makes in Toyko.  Their racks are the best racks made, strong, elegant, filet brazed, plated for corrosion resistance.  Even our cerakoted Nitto racks are plated under the coating, so if you wear thru the coating, you still have super hard plating there to protect the metal.  

Ideal for a 26.8 to 27.2 seatpost, it might work on something bigger but we say, keep it simple and build an entire bike around a 27.2 seatpost if you don’t have one.  Not really.  You can use longer M6 bolts and mount it to seatposts up to 30.9mm.  You can mount the struts to P clamps, but if you want to really use the rack to it’s fullest potential, you want to mount it to a bike with R-10 mounts, which are halfway down the seatstays, often on the inside of said stay.  Hardtacks and Moonshiners have these, so do most Rivendells. 

Rated to 22lbs, so you can really put some heavy stuff on this rack, like your collection of lead warhammer figurines.
