Switchel is what Vermont farmers drink when they're feeling sapped. Pronounced 'Switch - L" for those wondering. Made from ginger, maple syrup, maybe a dash of cayenne and a glug of apple cider vinegar with a squeeze of lemon. I have a feeling they skipped the ginger and pepper back in yonder times, so roll new school or OG as you see fit. Oddly refreshing, like this lovely bag.
Retro-Futurism demands that current needs accept responsibility for future demands. If you need a bike: make it out of the only material on the market that is durable, employs more people than machines, is fully recyclable, biodegradable, repairable and is the longest lasting with the lowest enviromental toll.
Analog loves hand built wheels like Neil Young loves tube amplifiers. We believe wheels should be reliable, easy to service, strong, stiff and outfitted to satisfy the customer’s current and future needs. So that’s the way we build ‘em. No gimmicks. We think wheels should last at least 10 years. Good wheels are not magic. They are a combination of well chosen and quality parts, methodical prep, high quality tools, and an unhurried build.
Walk into any bike shop and it feels like you are looking at a catalog for Soviet combs. There are 3 options pedals, and they're all utilitarian and boring. Analog has been turning good parts into rad parts for 10+ years. These days, Matt, a local Poultneyite, cerakotes this stuff in his shop about 1/4 mile from Analog. He does good work. Scope it out!
The best battery free lighting from Schmidt, Sinewave and Busch and Muller. USB charging too!
Forget normal bike fitting.
Suntour folded in the early 90’s, but MKS (who made the original XC Pro pedals for Suntour) did not. Blue Lug, the spirit animal of the alt bike world in Japan, had MKS remake the old pedals, pretty much exactly as they were back in the 80's. They’re not as grippy or as wide as say, a Deity Black Kat, but they’re grippy enough for gravel roads, commuting, road riding, and the like. Read more after the jump!

Knowledge is power. And that means going a bit slower, but riding longer, with less or no pain. Bikes shouldn’t feel like couches, but they shouldn’t feel like inquisition torture devices either.
